it was crap last year, and that line up looks as bad. i guess i just prefer smaller festivals. good to see theyve dropped carling though

Pretty **** line up so far really. Will still be going Reading though, most likely.
#5
I would go for:

Bloc Party
Raconteurs
Less than Jake
NOFX
Queens of the Stone Age

but alas, i like in the united states.
#6
RATM <3

Avenged Sevenfold <3 (**** the band waggon)

Would also go to see Gallows, NoFX, QOTSA, Serj, Less Than Jake, 30 Seconds to Mars

Probs playing V. Theres an Agreement that no band can play V and Reading without special permission. No one Playing Mainstage Download can be announced before the end of download. So subways will be special guests.

A7X are unlikely to play i think due to them going round Europe with Maiden.

Sunday is tipped to be
Metallica
Slipknot
Bullet For My Valentine
Machine Head
Killswitch Engage
Serj Tankian
Fightstar

I'd be happy to see RATM, Metallica and Queens of the Stone Age... now, all I can do is hope they all play...

Oh yeah, didn't see that. I took that list straight from eFestivals.

Yeah they confirmed on their myspace.

I doubt Bloc Party will play, they did last year and I think the year before. Bands don't often play two years running. Others all seem realistic.

I think RATM should play Sunday though. If they play Friday I'll spend the next two days wandering about thinking "why am I still here? These guys suck compared to RAGE."

And if Babyshambles play, Pete Doherty is getting bottled. In the face.

Hell yes. The perfect ending.
So what days are The Killers and Metallica playing at Reading then?
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

RATM playing a book festival.

I'm definately going Leeds Fest. UG meetup on the Thursday anyone?

And to Meths, The Subways have played every Leeds for the past 4 or 5 years, so I think Bloc Party making another appearance is perfectly plausible.

Last year a friend and I went to see Frank Turner, and the Carling tent was being guarded by masses of security. We thought it was weird and started hearing Kaiser Chiefs from the tent, and my mate said "bloody hell, fair good cover!". When it turned out it was actually Kaiser Chiefs he ran past all the security and got in the tent, only to get collared in the crowd.

I was just dissapointed that I thought I missed Frank Turner, but it turned out that he wasn't due on for another 2 hours

I hope the Lock Up is good this year. It was pretty decent last year and I seem to spend most of my weekend in there.

Who's all ready to get their tickets tonight? I can't wait to see the actual lineup.
These go to eleven...
#29
Me neither, I'm at cricket, so I've given my sister the killer responsiility of getting mine, hers and my mate's. Me and my mate want Wednesday early bird tickets too. I'm toying with buying my mate a eading tiket (we're off to Leeds) is it worth the money for the LOLz?
Looking to buy a Fender Jagstang, u sellin?
#31
What site will be best to get them off? Dont want the main site to crash on me.
#32
The Reading fest website suggests SeeTickets.com
But I'm thinking of buying them from the official website.

I'm probably going to get Day tickets, and not really keen on the Saturday...so I dunno whether to go for the Friday or Sunday. Suggestions?
#33
^Don't be a part timer. The music is only a small fraction of the fun. Most of it is in the campsites.

Don't tell anyone... but last year I used Ticketmaster and got straight through. Lol.
These go to eleven...

I'm not trying to say it's right or anything, but this is the closest thing you're gonna get to a 'leak' before Monday... so here we go:

Friday:

Rage Against The Machine
Queens Of The Stone Age
Editors
The Hives
Biffy Clyro
30 Seconds To Mars
We Are Scientists

Saturday:

The Killers
Bloc Party
Babyshambles
The Fratellis
The Raconteurs
The Enemy
The Subways

Sunday:

Metallica
Slipknot
Bullet For My Valentine
Avenged Sevenfold
Machine Head
Killswitch Engage (Not so certain on this one)
Serj Tankian

R1 Tent:

Headliners - Manic Street Preachers, The Cribs, Feeder (Not sure about Feeder.)
Second Headliners - Dizzee Rascal, Gallows, The Wombats

Saturday more like. Would only want to watch The Enemy out of those there. Sunday does look naff though. They should put RATM on on sunday.
