What are the different types of electric guitar strings? I know there is bronze phosphorous and steel, are there any other types? 'Nickel Wound' what does that mean?
What is the difference sound wise also?

I dunno about different types...
But different sizes/gauges are for some tunings.
Like...Ernie Ball Heavy Bottoms are for Drop C and D Standard while Light Gauge are for Standard and Drop D...
