Im playin at a fair thing in like a month a need a song to cover. Theirs one gutar(me) bass(matt) and drums(nick). So me and matt are pretty good but nick is just good at jazz and were doing hard rock/metal. So you have any easy cover songs for us to do that doesnt require a double bass but is still at least semi-heavy. I NEED YOUR HELP I CANT FIND ANY!!!!!thanks

I concur. I learned their whole catalog last week (it was a boring week) especially seeing as I'm a bassist...

Try some Led Zep. It's impossible not to like them and it's not hard to play some of their stuff.

Hey Hey Momma said the way you move, gonna make you sweat gonna make you groove!!! du du dun dun nu na nu, etc...

Black Dog, Heartbreaker, Stairway if you're really up for it, maybe When the Levee Breaks.

Or even try some newer stuff. Someone said Velvet Revolver. Slither, Fall to pieces and she builds quick machines are their good ones. If you do these guys, Slither all the way. Easy, fun to play, and once you get the (actually easy) solo down, it's seemingly very impressive, earning you some tail for the post-performance.

Tool, anyone?
Alter Bridge, maybe?
A bit of John Mayer?
Some beethoven sounds delightful, as well.

yeah, wolfmothers good an all, but they're WAYYYYY overplayed where i live and hearing people talk about them like they're the best idea for covers ever annoys me greatly (as many of the people in my school do that)

If he's good enough to handle jazz rhythms I'm pretty sure he can manuever around any subgenre of rock. Try jamming to some funk beats.
Peace.

like what????

It doesn't need to be a particular song, seeing as that you don't have vocals. Just play like a blues with funk beats and grooving bass.
Peace.
