I live in an island nation, but I always wondered, has anyone never seen the ocean in real life? I know of 70 year olds in Central US that never have..

I've never been to the ocean

but I'm surrounded by HUGE lakes, so it's not that bad.
#5
It's just a big lake that tastes really bad.

I know people who live in central U.S. who haven't traveled enough to see a beach. It's depressing, as they'll never experience a glorious sandcastle being swept away by waves.
Peace.
#9
I have, but I don't find it interesting, or beautiful.

Now, forests. Like a heavily wooded mountain area with a sunrise is the most beautiful scene I've ever seen.

Nope. I've been to Florida, but still didn't see the ocean. WTF.

The beach is fun. I haven't been there in forever, and they are often overcrowded, but it's still amazing!

I've seen the ocean once or twice a long time ago when I was little. I still remember walking along the beach in Maryland.

I prefer lakes to oceans anyway.

Haven't been to the ocean. You guys stuck in Kansas or something. I can't imagine one could go through life and never seen the ocean. Hell I have seen Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and the Med.
