Nah, I detect you dislike Genesis because it's not deathcore and full of identical breakdowns.

So to piss you off, I'm going to say Doom-Job for a Cowboy.

There are also cases where songs sounding similar works very, very well:

Cannibal Corpse-Kill
Meshuggah-Nothing
Sepultura-Beneath the Remains
Napalm Death-Scum

psychocandy - the jesus & mary chain - works well though.
Epiphone Dot-335
Fender USA Tele
'82 30th anniversary Les Paul goldtop
1965 pre-CBS Fender Jaguar

Crybaby
TS-9
turbo rat
Ge-7
+many more

Let's ignore the variations of tempo and style of riff between each song, and let's ignore the fact that it's idiotic to say that any two songs on that album sound the same.

I mean seriously, if Slanderous sounds the same to you as Halo, you need your ears syringed.

The Queens of the Stone Age. Robot rock, as Homme likes to call it, but in this case it works very well, especially in radio desert drive semi-concept albums.

Again, similarity between No One Knows, Go with the Flow, Song for the Dead and Mosquito Song? None. Oh, they all have guitars and Dave Grohl, that's about it.

Oh u just shuttin everyone down tonight!

Lol i stand by my comment on the blackening though. It has FANTASTIC interludes and guitar solos and quiet bits (when Robb actually sings instead of shouting). But i feel that 90% of the "thrash metal" riffs are pretty much interchangeable between the songs, with the exception of that harmonic blip thing in Halo of course.

Dave Grohl is quite unique as a drummer, and the QOTSA tone is stand out, and maybe QOTSA just have a signature sound and they apply it in different ways.

The majority of rap, pop and dance? With some exceptions.

Korn - life is peachy. Full of the same **** where drum is banging hard and bass is going like clickity clack

AC/DC - really most of their albums

I love em, but honestly, their songs all sound the same.

Nah, they just sound like everyone elses songs.

As much as I adore the album, Kill 'em All isn't very varied. It's all just aggresive thrash metal, with no real changes in tone. (Except Anesthesia)

Pink Moon by Nick Drake too, but the quality of song writing is excellent. Wouldn't have the album any other way.

Yeah, add Van Halen too. The songs are great but none of them really stand out. I sometimes wish they would put some mellower tracks between the heavy ones, so it's not one big rollercoaster.

They should learn from Jimi Hendrix, I can't name two songs who sound quite similar.

Dark Side of the Moon anyone? Mind you thats kind of the point .... i ****ing love that album

That's debatable. I've never heard a song like Great Gig in the Sky anywhere else. However, I agree to a point.

AC/DC. you gotta love them, but seriously. basically the same 5 chords have gotten them through over 30 years of playing.

On the surface, a lot of songs on Primus's Frizzle Fry sound the same, at least compared to their other stuff. Its still a great album though.
