Got this a few months ago, it's a 1x12 JCM 800 combo, has 2x EL34's and one Groove Tube 12AX7. It's been serviced by the last owner to make sure the electronics are working.

Anyway, I went down to my local store because it sounded a bit funky on the clean channel, and he said the speaker is more or less shot. It's a GT12-75 and from the looks of it it's probably as old as the Amp itself (made in 1985).

So, what speaker should I get for this amp? I'm not going to play through a cab anytime soon, so it will just be a 1x12.

I'm looking for a Guns N Roses AC/DC kind of sound, mainly classic rock with that great marshall distorted crunch.

THanks for suggestions

AFAIK the Greenback doesn't have a high enough wattage to be used in that amp.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?

Greenbacks can take 30w max as far as I know, so yeah, you're right.
