So i just got a new guitar, very nice, but there's residue of a nasty price sticker on the back upper-side of the neck. Any way to get it off?

Dampen a cloth with metho and wipe it?

May destroy guitar though, depends what's on it.

I dunno about the finishes, but I've put zippo lighter fluid on leftover stickers before. It usually does a pretty good job. Just rub it with a cloth.

put carburetor cleaner on it it removes the gunk but not the finish on the guitar

nail polish remover works
i did that on the pick guard because there was duct tape residue and it got it off without damaging the color
sig under construction.
