I'm saving for an Epi Elitist LP Custom.
But I'm also a bit impatient and could afford the gibson quicker.
How much better off will I be with the Elitist?

if your into the techy stuff on your guitar, i personally am a gadget guy but i LOVE my guitar, amp, and effects as analog as i can get it

i have the ultra 1, great guitar

Personally, I'd take the Gibson, but I'd judge it all based on feel, and how comfortable I am with the guitar. That's always more important than build quality, imo. Sound quality is somewhere in between.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

i have an epiphone elitist les paul custom and let me tell u.. its worth the money, and better than any gibson studios ive tried (studio is in the same price range as the elitist)
sex, drugs, and rock and roll have turned into aids, needles, and techno..

nah stick with a elitist i would save a little more from a gibson les paul studio but that's just me it's definitly not worth getting that low end gibson

Ok, I'll just keep saving for the Elitest.
I just found the Gibson aesthetically pleasing, and I'm very shallow and impulsive with guitars/gear.
thanks fellas

I've worked on one and played it for a bit. Its decent but liked stated above a high end Epihone blows it out the water. Hell the 300 buck used Ephione i played in a music store last week really blows it out the water. Wish i had the cash for it but someone got it before i could.

Back to the Gibson

Pro's
Built well not no fancy stuff added, just wood and more wood lol
Its got Gibsons name on it (not really a pro by most but ill give it that)

Con's
Action is high
No fancy stuff just basic
Action is a bit high like most gibsons
Stop tail piece seems cheap
Standard tuners
Guitar was made to get dings and oil up (example play it for a few weeks and your forearm will wear a spot in it, wood is soft so it dings easy)
Chunky neck
Pickups were pretty tame

my epiphone elitist cost more then that.....and looks a whole lot better.....ive never played many gibsons though.....but i would definitely stand by my elitist.
