so.. i wanted to play this song (seeing angels by John Butler Trio)
but i couldn't figure out the tuning.. so i looked it up and it said
B F# C# F# B F#
so.. should i tune the high e string up or down, as my high e just snapped when i tried to tune it up..

I'd say you have to tune the high e string up because otherwise it'll be the same tuning as the 3rd string from teh top.

Its a strange tuning, maybe you need a lower gauge string?

i had .10 on it, which is really low for an acoustic guitar..
but i didn't even think about that, i'll try to listen if they're the same.. would be a bit strange tho..

could it be possible that its not meant to be played on an acoustic? john butler uses various weird instruments, maybe its a 6 stringed banjo or somethin...

i'm almost sure it's a guitar..
it's a 12 string tho, but ocean is played on a 12 string aswell, and i can play that song on my acoustic guitar aswell..
