I suggest a Maddox-Style "For every light you turn off, I'm going to turn on three" approach here.

Thanks, I'll be doing that tonight.

No.

It'd be a larger waste to have everyone turn them back on at the same time.

I didn't even know there was an earth hour.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Hell no. I need my lights.
It all makes sense

The dogs only hear us now

Dear God, do you actually answer prayers?

Yes, but only in a way indistinguishable from random luck or the result of your own efforts.

Maddox mentalities for the win.

For the record, no. I won't be participating in Earth Hour.
I'm a little cynical/skeptical with the whole "think green" stuff.

Yeah, no one turned their lights off in my place.
Guess my family doesn't give a crap bout global warming...

I will promptly be turning on all my lights at that hour in a display of my loyalty to the Lord. Enviromentalism is a thinly veiled attempt at overthrowing the kingdom of the Lord, and may the Lord have mercy on those who participate in this hedonistic practice.

"Liberals" are conspiring against America tonight, with lights out they will do secret manuveurs that are a test before they realize their true goals.

I haven't heard about Earth Hour, but it sounds stupid. If people wanted to help they would not leave lights on when it is not necessary, they would recycle, and they would try to reduce their carbon footprint.

All the people turning their lights back on after Earth Hour would probably crash all the electricity..

Yes i am planning to participate in Earth Hour. And to everyone that says turning the lights back on at the same time will waste more energy you are incorrect. Turning off the lights reduces the electricity usage but does not mean actually turning the electricity completely off. It will not use any more energy to turn them back on.
