What size strings (ACOUSTIC) do you use? And which do you prefer?

I just bought my first new pair of strings and I got the medium size. I'm not sure if I like them better yet. They definately require more pressure which kind of sucks. What do you guys think?

the list suggests you believe acoustic guitars are the only stringed type of guitar?

Yeah pretty much.

I used lights, thought they were too thin, mediums, thought they were too thin. I use 14's now.

Can get hard to play some stuff though. I figure I'll get strogner.

baritone guitar or what dude?

I'm using .12's. I like my acoustic to be one gauge bigger than my electric. Tried .11's, hated it. Also for easy bending.

^Something like that. I downtune a bit.
It works though.

So your tuning is:

D
A
F
C
G
D

Doesn't that get annoying when your songs don't sound the same??

Sometimes? I just use a capo when I want to play something in standard.

But the only thing I use my steel string for is my own songs, and some classical stuff.

I play all serious classical on my classical guitar.

I should probably tune down too then. My fingers are killing me! ha.

I have different gauge strings on different guitars. Having an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, three four-string basses (one hollowbody) and a five string bass and different gauges and brands of strings on each makes for a lot of different strings I guess!
