Hey Everybody!

It looks like I'll be ending my final year at university with some spare cash, and I'm sure you all know what that means: Guitar shopping!

I want a new axe; my old Telecaster's neck is pretty beat up, and I want something more modern that I won't have to fight quite as much to really tear it up on the fretboard!

I was thinking Gibson SG or Flying V originally, but I'm just not sure... I'll be looking at lots anyways, but do any of you have any suggestions for a really killer axe? I play Hard Rock and Metal a lot, but I also love to play all kinds of other styles, so the new guitar has to be somewhat versatile.

Thanks!

- No rig worth posting yet...

Take a look at some of their models, I find their guitars to be suited for almost anything.

Some schecters come with a push/pull tab that lets you play with a single coil on one of the humbuckers, which really opens up the tonal variety of the guitar - pretty much exactly what you need.

Since you're in Canada, look at Godin's guitars.

I'm thinking the Damien FR - it looks gorgeous, and I played something similar to it a year ago...
