YCV 50 Blue vs. YCS Custom Special 50

Trying to decide which one, most interested in your opinions on tone.

Lot out there on the Blue, not so much on the Special.

Thanks in advance.

That's what you're going to find. The YCS is new, and not too many people have played it, yet. I haven't.
You Don't Need a halfstack.

You Don't Need 100W.

I have the YCS50...it's really nice. I can't say whether or not it's better than the YCV because I have not played the YCV. I did get my YCS for $650 so I got a really good deal. What kind of music do you play? The YCS has some pretty good gain. It can't quite do heavier metal kind of things by itself.

I've tried both. i prefer the tone of the YCS myself (and will eventually be buying one) to the YCV. i find the ycs a lot tighter and more defined than the ycv.

I'm buying the YCS for metal tones, but i'll be keeping it because of its seemingly endless versatility.. My uncle tried it and he loves it for his rock and country.

but depending on what you're going for, either amp is a quality amp.
