Is it possible to find a fun metal song that is not in drop C/B? Every cool song I would like to learn is in drop tuning but I have a double locking trem and dont want to spend all day retuning and intonating.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

Nevermore.

Funnest band to play. Tons of arpeggios, and they are a half step down, or in standard a lot.

Metallica nuff said...yet it sounds heavier than standard e...

EDIT: stuff in standard played in Eb sounds sick as hell

If you want carpel tunnel you can try master of puppets with all dowpicking...

But yeah, Metallica is the wasy to go with standard.
Slayer can be played in stander but its really Eb.
Megadeth is in standard occasionally, sometimes Eb if i'm not mistaken.
I THINK Pantera is in standard sometimes, i've heard of them tuning D standard though.

He's laughing at YOU.

All I get from that is a burning forearm....I can get to the main riff though! ...Then it's pretty hard..

Opeth
Megadeth
Mors Principium Est (if you can find any tabs)
Most early black metal (See: Bathory, Mecryful Fate, King Diamond (might be Eb), early Emperor, Immortal...)

Standard-Tuning...in metal you basically have to go for 80s-heavy or thrash-metal bands.
