I've been learning a new scale that uses hammer ons and pull offs so my pinky can get stronger it's the C major and C minor scales and it's hurting my wrist quite a bit.

However I have to stand up in order for the pain to stop.

Any idea's on how deal with it?

That's not really a scale, it's just an exercise.

If your wrist is hurting make sure your posture is correct. It could also simply be that your hand isn't quite strong enough for what you're trying to do so maybe ease up a little.
