does anyone experience a weird feeling through their fingers when you play open strings with a thick pick (like .88mm). i usually use .60mm picks but when i play metal, i use .88mm and i experience an uncomfortable feeling when open notes on the higher strings...it's a bit like scratching nails against a blackboard.
