on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard isit to refret a guitar, my les pauls in desperate need of a refret.

also the big question is what is the best fretwire to buy ?
i prefer something more medium/ jumbo sized

get it done proffesionally, never try stuff like that yourself, i did once, broke it

Re-fretting is generally best to get it done professionally. unless ofcourse your re-fretting a squire strat, then **** it who cares what happens!

If its a bound fret board no fun at all. Set neck guitars arent near as easy to do as bolt necks. And theres a steep learning curve so your first couple fret jobs wont be very good. The tools to do it right arent cheap. Figure on spending as much as a fret job to buy tools and supplies. So if your just doing one not really worth it.

i have a busted old fretboard im testing on first, but its something i'd really like to learn to do to save alot of money and hassle in the long run,
so any preference on frets ? nickel or stainless steel?
