Without risking blowing my cabinet, I was just curious as to what would actually happen if I hooked my guitar up to, say, a Boss ODB-3, and then plugged that into my Hughes & Kettner 60R.

Anyone care to explain?

Thanks in advance!

It ought to work. You'll probably only need to worry if you plug an actual bass into your amp.

^wat he said and you only need to worry about the bass into guitar amp if you're pushing it hard or boosting the bass frequencies too much

Interesting. It turns out that there are people on the forum who play an upright bass. I'll make a note of that.

*makes note*

*puts note on wall*

*stares at note for a minute*

*sits back down and resumes doing what I was doing*

I presume you want a bassier sound for your guitar, which is why your doing it
And yes the bass effect pedal will work, no trouble to your amp

I would suggest if your after a bassier tone, try playing through a bass amp, Or using a bass cab with a guitar head, i love guitar tones through bass amps. Can push them that bit further too
