Quick question: How comparable is the Mesa DC-5 to the Mesa Mark IV? I'm talking overall comparison. Lead tone more specifically but a good clean and rhythm sound is also pretty essential. How heavy can it get?

Here's a quick comparison since I have to get over to the college, if you have more questions I'll answer them when I get back later today.

The Mark IV has better cleans, but that doesn't mean the DC-5's cleans are bad by any means. Both of them work great for rhythm and lead. The DC-5 sounds like a mix between the Mark IV and a Recto, if you can imagine that. The Mark IV is going to have a smoother, more liquid-y lead tone. Both amps can get heavy. I know someone on this board has a DC-5, I'm sure he'll show up with some more input.
