Hey all....

I've got a Crate VC50 with a single 15 inch speaker. Its got to be at least 8-10 years old.

Anyways.... It fizzled out. I opened it up, all the tubes *seem* to be working, they are all still glowing. The fuse was blown.
After replacing it, it worked fine for a little while.... on both channels.

When I switched to the clean channel, then dimed the volume... the fuse blew out again. Now, I don't know if it blew because I dimed the amp, or if it just blew because it just took that long to blow out.

Anyone have any ideas on where the problem might be?

Your crappy amp achieved a purposely crappy tone? I'll alert the presses.
This kind of thing is typically caused by a bad tube or by a short in one of your transformers. Could also be a bad filtercap.
