I'm lookin to buy a 5-string bass but don't have a fortune to spend ($100-$300)
All the pages and I look at sell them for around $350 and higher. Any cheap bass recomendations that will still sound good?
Note: I need a good starter 5-string, nothing fancy.

My squier 5 string jazz bass worked pretty well, I paid about 200 for it. I'd look for one of those, I think there is a decent ibanez and a decent yamaha 5 string in that price range as well.

OK, any 5 string bass that stays together can't be too bad for £97.

But a musicman? Come on. Either it's animitation or the person who sold it to you was probably brain dead at the time.

Lol, someone once told me that they had an american fender J for like £90.
It turned out to be an encore. You can never be too sure when you talk to people on the internet!
