there's a really pain in the ass exercise where you play like
e: --6--5
b: --6--5 /repeat for a while

e: --6--5
b
g: --6--5 /repeat

and then go on to the lower while constantly playing the high e.
do that with any finger combination and you'll have a workout

find some licks or a solo that requires their use. Practice that.

Try some 12 bar blues stuff. These kind of songs certainly help to get the little finger going, I use my little finger all the time now thanks to learning these kind of songs.

Try roll over beethovan and johnny b goode, songs like that.

Trivium used to have this guitar world article on their website. It is an excercise that Matt Heafy stole from Kirk Hammet that was done in an article a long time ago, anyway here.

e---------------------------------------5-7-8-8-7-5----------
B-------------------------------5-7-8-----------------8-7-5--
G------------------------4-5-7--------------------------------
D----------------4-5-7----------------------------------------
A---------3-5-7-----------------------------------------------
E-3-5-7-------------------------------------------------------

Then you continue that using your pinky for the highest fret on all of them. when you get back to the low E string you move up to the next note in the key(G major). This really helped my pinky alot becuase the higher it goes the more stuff changes.

I just jam out on the pentatonics using only my middle and little finger. And do a lot of hammer-ons pull-offs and bends with that pinky. It's killer.

Trills with your first finger and pinky, works a treat. Make sure you start on like 7th to 10th fret on the G string so you get used to it then move it about the fret board.

I found where I had tabbed that excercise for a friend so I thought I'd post the rest of it here. You just follow the pattern back down and connect all of them together and do them with a metrenome and it will really work your pinky. Also try doing the Metallica style power chords with your index finger and pinky.
