i was in my history class and this one kid was listening to a death metal band (i presume it to be either death or black...idk i suck at naming genres. ) and i heard it had a weird name so i looked it up.

the name of the band is "i wrestled a bear once." i thought it was a sweet/different kinda name so i thought i'd check them out.

turns out, this chick can belt out some brutal vocals.

and they have weird breakdowns.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DKPgZ51ywU&NR=1
in this they just start playing the inspector gadger theme song really fast
and in another 1 they stop, then the horns from dukes of hazard comes on, then it gets all heavy.

I can't say i'm a fan of the style of music (i'm more of a megadeth/dream theater/childrenofbodom/metallica kinda metal interests)

what do you guys think of it?

EDIT: i found the other song. its called "tastes like kevin bacon"

Youtube's blocked here at my school, but this post will remind me to check the band out at home, where nothing is blocked.
Not even porn!
If you see me in the pit, know that I'm only there because the metal forum is moving slowly.

Lol at geekiness of the girl.

What would we call this? Sounds like a mix between mathcore and deathcore myself.

Another example of a band that tries way to hard and ends up failing on so many levels.

Also, there is an incredibly high level of neckbeards in this band. Not good.

Eh...not bad...they sound like standard mathcore to me. No different from The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza or maybe a girl fronted Dillinger Escape Plan.

So, because she's less then up to your standards of beauty she's can't be taken seriously as an artist? Sexism for the phail.
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.

It is proven in today's society that a pretty face will get you farther than trying to be unique death metal.

i really liked it until the lame synth stuff came in.

First of all, I enjoy deathcore for it's complexity and it's the only genre heavy enough for me

Mostly because death metal in general won't get you too far, usually.

Take any other visual media then. Name any famous horribly unattractive actresses?

I don't like them, but the singer has brilliant harsh vocals for a girl.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

"I'm so tempted to sig that, Phill" - Sig it then

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.
