I have DRs on my ESP right now. They are nice, harmonics seem to ring quite well. $5. If you are asking what kind of strings are best, I like DRs and Ernie Balls, although I haven't really noticed a difference in tone between the strings I've bought (ernie balls, ghs, drs, gibson) I use the ones I do because I haven't broken one yet.
#4
d'addario, they keep their tone the longest. stay crisp the longest.
and they dont cost me a penny

Also caught her playing fallout boy on my guitar, changed my strings and cleaned it the next day.

Ernie Ball on my 24.75" scales, 25.5" scales get D' Addario, Ernie Ball or Elixer.

Ernie Ball Super Slinkies (0.09)

Love 'em because they feel great and are longer-lasting strings I ever had. As opposed to Fender Bullets (didn't make the 1st month).

They cost like 6-7€, can't remember well. Which is like 10$.

Who gives a damn..

Anyway, thats what im using as now, and their really good. But expensive.
#17
GHS Boomers. size 11s.
they cost me about 5 or six US dollars.
the have, imo, the best sound. However i also feel that the sound goes bad sooner that anyother string. But, i play out alot, so i change strings monthly regardless of string type, so i prefer them the most. im thinking about trying alot of others out. but i cant find any with the same exact gauges, and i dont feel like fixing the intonation that much.
#19
I use DR Tite-Fit 11's. $6.50 a set, and easily the best strings I've played. In my opinion of course.
#22
D'Addario usually, but my next change will be to DR's, because they were recommended by a guy I trust. If I don't like them, back to the D'Addarios.
#23
I use D'Addario, but im probably gonna get some elixers next time because apparently they last longer and I don't know how to say "D'Addario"

DR Strings. Best strings I've used, nice crisp sound, and "You can beat the **** out of them with no problems"- Alexi Laiho.

Fucking Boomers!

They sound better than everything else, and last fairly long (though no strings last very long for me). They're also fairly cheap.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
#36
D'Addario XLs are my favorites. They sound unbelievably awesome and I think they're great for beginners to build strength. The only real downside is that if you try to play some of the stuff you learned on D'Addarios on stock strings can sometimes make you look like you suck. I can't believe how many times I've gotten red faced at Guitar Center for messing up some of the simplest of things.

Use them, and them only.
