I got there at 2 and was like 4th in line. There were a couple kids there that were like 12 and had js1200s This one dad had a portable amp for his son to play through, he was looking at the crowd with a look like "My sons awesome" We dont care.

Anyway, Satch got there at 530 and they let us in, i got his new cd, which is really good btw, and takes a turn into a few different directions (like every new Satch album)

After the soundcheck he talked for a bit and played some songs, i was in the front row!!

He played, from his new album

Musterion
Overdriver
Diddle-Y-A-Doo-Dat

and

Flying in a Blue Dream
Always with Me, Always with You
Satch Boogie

I noticed he had his new Vox Satchurator pedal, which sounded nice! I saw he used that and his Boss Ds1 was mysteriously not there

He signed my CD and the backplate of my RG,

Heres some pics of the show:

EDIT:
Im trying to upload more pics, but for some reason its like a 1/10 chance the pic isnt messed up in some way

I would asked for an epic guitar battle where I would lose in 5 seconds rather than a auto-graph. Then my claim to fame would be im the guy JS smoked in 5 seconds.

What was the show like? I'm thinking of going when he comes to Dublin in a couple of months.

He would talk about how he wrote the new songs, the different techniques and scales he used on the new record, etc.

The song Musterion is written around the Hungarian Scale which is really cool

I wanted to go to the one in Philly, but sadly it's at a craptastic time. Also, kudos for having him sign the back plate of your guitar; I hate when people have signature all over the front,
#15
gotta love that starting riff in Overdriver, i havn't got his new album yet, it takes another week to go on sale here

you should goto the next guitar centre clinic i would!

Today was the same day the Slash guitars came out, and the whole day there was no one in that line while the Satch line went out the door

At 5 when the slash guitars were available, the guy says "Anyone here for the Slash Guitars?"

i yelled out "Are you kidding me!?"

Everyone laughed and the guy was like XD

I think so.

I heard he wasn't coming to Florida, that stinks...

TS, how did the Satchurator sound? Was he playing through a JSX?

Oh, it sounded awesome, i could definitely tell the difference in his tone, it was so much fuller and crunchier, but still smooth and not fizzy

I cant wait to buy it!

He also had a mysterious White pedal that was the size of a wah pedal but it had one button on the top of it

??

And yeah, they brought out a 2x12 JSX combo

And he talked about the 20th Ann. Surfing with the Alien guitar, but also talked about the new 20th ann. guitar for Flying in a Blue Dream, which is the one i think he used in the Montreux Gig on the DVD of surfing with the alien
