an RR3 would be great, but if you have to choose one of those then the JACKSON DK2M DINKY TRANSPARENT RED should be good, Seymour Duncans are more versatile than EMGs.
TESTAMENT, SCAR SYMMETRY......SELF EXPLANATORY

ALEX SKOLNICK, PER NILSSON........ADULATION MANDATORY

Gear: JACKSON RR3

Dude seriously just check out the quokka!
There's so many killer guitars in there, you shouldn't be worried about shopping second hand, especially in a city like Perth where all of the gear is so expensive.

After just having a look then there doesn't seem to be to many things that would interest you but wait until Thursday and the qebsite will have all of the new things on it.

I a huge EMG fan. So obviously I suggest SD's...

no wait!

(but seriously EMG makes solid pickups for any style. If you know how to dial in your tone you'll be set.)

I'm gonna (hopefully if Kosmic are kind enough) switch my lay-by over to the DKMGT thank's help! I just dont think Fender will fit my style =\

it also has a carved top so that's a plus

It's basically just a question of do you want passive or active pickups?
Both are great value and quality guitars.

EMGs are going to be more versatile, but will make the guitar sound a hair on the bright side unless you change the pots to 250k.

def the MG series Dinky i have one and ill never be able to play another guitar the same way its like whatever i want to do with it it allows me to the EMG 81-85 combo sounds great not to mention that the thing looks like a beast but i will say that if your not used to a floyd your going to hate it the first few times you mess with it
i got the cobalt swirl though, check it on my profile

fantastic guitar i cant stress that enough

no way the 81 is higher but just turn the tone know down and those pair are perfect

If your playing 80's and want a FR, look for an older guitar if you don't want to get a new one. My local music shop sold me a 1980something Charvel Predator for $229 USD, which I thought was a steal, considering I traded a crappy BC Rich for it. It came with a Jackson J80-C pickup in the bridge, which I switched out with an EMG Select, and it really has some good tone. And the floyd, well theres nothing like dive bombing and horse effects like Vai. Not to mention you can pull of some sick EVH effects.
