Just a Quick One...

I can use a pick/plectrum fine when I'm strumming, but when I'm playing riffs or soloing I find it much easier to use my fingers to play the individual strings. Is this a problem, should I try to learn to use the pick for playing on individual strings or am I ok playing like this? I just don't want to get inot bad habits while I'm learning as I'm teaching myself to play guitar.

Thanks,

yaffle

Well it depends what you're playing. If you're playing classical then yeah sure its fine, but if you're palying rock then you should really be using a pick. It'll be faster and will give you more attack.
