I play a Gibson Les Paul Standard through an Orangerockerverb 50 with a bunch of pedals. Im wondering how to get a great tone like Joe Walsh, Jimmy Page, Slash or any of the popular classic rock players.
I would like to know what you guys put your tone knob at and eq settings to achieve this tone. I find mine sounds good but when I mic it up its really trebly and thin (is it because I use a vocal mic), anyways some help with my tone would be appreciated.
My current settings:
Treble: 7
Mid: 5
Bass: 5
Gain: 5 or 6
Tone knob is either 6 or 8

i got my volume almost halfway on a 50 watt amp i dont think im going any higher, but i'll try boosting the mids, but my main goal is to make it alot smoother.

More mids definitely, then kick in the TS808 over the top with the level up and the gain on 0 for solos.

You'll probably find it worthwhile investing in an EQ pedal too.

It'll probably make things a little muddy, I'd personally have it at least halfway.
