Not really a fan of the goth metal genre. I sorta like Nightwish and Lacuna Coil, but they're far from being my favorite bands.
#8
Seems like more of a feminine genre, but that doesn't make it bad, it actually makes more vocalists for Nebraskan to fap to!

I'm not a big fan of the gothic metal, other then I got a soft spot for CoF. Goth rock is pretty cool. Bauhaus ftw.
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.

Anyone a fan of Theater Des Vampires? Pretty awesome stuff.

Their music videos are atrocious and knee-slappingly hilarious.

Music is good, never-the-less.

Depends on which you mean...

The dude?
The chick?

Hopefully the latter, if so, I completely agree

Aside from early Paradise Lost, Into the Pandemonium era Celtic Frost, and possibly Type O,
I find gothic metal to be unbearable garbage. Bleh
80's goth/deathrock is where it's at.

some of Paradise Lost's early albums ftw

and I also like Virgin Black for some reason, apart from those, I think the genre really repeats itself

After Forever, Epica, Nightwish and Adagio are the only gothic bands I have as far as I can remember - and they're all heavily symphonic power metal, more than gothic.

Oh, and Paradise Lost. But I'm not that into any of the bands I listed.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

"I'm so tempted to sig that, Phill" - Sig it then

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.

Great band, I really liked what they did with Lord Vampyr, now they are utter ****e. Type 0 Negative is good as well, and yes Nightwish of course. I've also been looking into Lacrimosa, pretty good band.

1st three Theatre of Tragedy albums. Awesome, and their last album, Storm, wasn't so bad either. Hopefully they'll revert back into their gothic roots.

1st two Tristania albums.

I don't if Elis counts.

Well if Type o Negative is goth metal, than they get my vote, although most goth metal makes me

(I use smilys instead of words, LAWL)

Type O Negative is my favorite for sure. In fact, they are pretty much my favorite period (as can be seen with AV). I don't listen to much gothic other than them though. I love the imagery associated with the music, but the abundance of operatic female vocals somewhat loses me.
