Ok. I know that most of the time Keith Richards is playing in open G tuning. While he's playing in that, what tuning is Ron Wood playing in?

I think that he usually plays in the same tuning as Keith. Keith uses standard on quite alot of songs too.

I'm not a Rolling Stones expert so I may be wrong, but doesn't Keith take off his low E string and just play with 5 strings?

Yeah he does, but only when usin open G tuning. He doesn't like the drone of the low E apparently.
