It's crap.

No I would not.

If you want a cheap acoustic or something, check out some of the Cort acoustics. They aren't bad at all.

....although I am sure I wouldn't disagree if I played it. I wouldn't go by just what he said.

Go and try it yourself. You may like it, but remember to try other acoustics too though. And by other acoustics I don't mean just a Fender, another Dean and then an Ibanez. Try something that is known for acoustics and not electrics. Look at a Yamaha, a Seagull and basically everything in your price range.

I played it once. I try not to judge instruments based on their looks . . . but man, this one was terrible. It looks terrible and sounds terrible. It has a biting, tinny ring to it that reminds me of having my teeth drilled. I hope whoever designed this was promptly shot.
Sincerely, Chad.

how can anything shaped so badly(in terms of acoustics... not as in the 'acoustic guitar' but in regards to sound) sound good?

that's not possible. in acoustics, the most important part is to AVOID as many sharp corners as possible. that's why acoustic guitars arent shaped like a rectangular cube. some things just arent meant to be done(e.g. shaping an acoustic guitar like a flying V)

and yes, i am quite bitter over this issue. the Dean V is like blasphemy to me >.> as far as im concerned, the guitar is a waste of wood.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed so far.
Its a horrible guitar. I don't even like V electrics and they can at least sound good but trying to play sitting down... ergh!
Without any solid woods being used and with a shape like that you can be pretty sure it's going to sound bad.

Look at Yamaha, Alvarez, Takamine, Seagull, Cort, ummm. Probs a few toher brands to look at too but as long as it doesn't say Dean or Ibanez on the headstock you should be OK.

yep i did forget.
Add those three brands onto your list of guitars to stay way from. I mean, by all means play them and try them, depending on how long you have been playing and what sort of guitars you have been exposed to previously, you should be able to see why we tell you to stay away from them.
