Hello,

I am planning on ordering a custom PS-4000 from Rondomusic. Kurt, the owner of the store, has told me that I can choose between a 1/16" plain maple veneer or a 3/4" flame maple top. Here is the problem, I don't know which to choose because I have heard that because the 1/16" veneer is thinner than the 3/4" flame maple, it is higher quality and thus improves the sound (?) also, I have heard that the 3/4" flame maple gives the guitar more sustain as it's thicker.

Here are the specifications of the guitar if it is of any relevance as to which top I should choose:

- 2 piece mahogany body
- Wilkinson tremolo (not a Floyd or anything, just a regular tremolo)
- rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays
- Seymour Duncan SH-2N in the neck
- Seymour Duncan SH-1B (59) in the bridge
- tribal green finish

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and if you have any comments on things other than the maple top then feel free to give your opinion
