A friend wants my fender frontman 15g amp and is offering me his peavey backstage and his lyon distortion pedal..the pedal doesn't sound fantastic but the amp on the other end DOES... IDK... is it worth it? Or shoudl I hold on to my fender amp.?

trade it. the peavey is more expensive, and it sounds better if it uses the transtube **** like the other peaveys.

at the end of the day, it's your choice though.

Don't tell your friend that Fender frontman's sound like burning tonal diarrhea. You'll have the better amp in the end! HAHA!

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I currently have a Frontman and it is pretty crappy, you certainly can't do any worse by making the trade.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.
