I'm going to build a talk box and i think i know of everything i need but can somebody please check it and give me some advice, tips or tricks i can use when building it

OK i need:

- Horn driver
- Hose
- Something to attach the hose to the driver (Fitting or Glue)
- Wire
- Female plug
- Footswitch (For on and off)
- Volume pot
- Tone pot
- LED (Optional)
- Box or housing (i will make myself)

I think thats it if i haven't got something that i need will somebody that has made one before tell me

I will be making a thread of my build when i get around to it after making it

Thanks.

OK i know what i need, but now I'm not sure of how to wire it up, I've drawn up a diagram of how i think it should go but I'm not experienced with wiring so could somebody who knows about wiring please have a look and advise me on how i should do it if it is wrong

Thanks

I know you'll need a battery if you want an LED.

For the footswitch, you'll want a DPDT.

i'm certainly no wiring expert, but i can tell you you are missing some crucial elements in your "schematic". for example, a capacitor for the tone pot. it seems like you have some more research to do before you make this.

here is a talk box schematic you might find useful:

EDIT:
and you don't need a battery for the led, but you do need some sort of power. i.e. a dc jack
-Gibson SG Faded
-Behringer HB01 Wah (I realize it sucks, but i have no money right now)
-Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive
-Ibanez CF-7 Chorus/Flanger
-I'm not gonna list my amp until I get a decent one

OK, I have a capacitor from the tone pot i pulled out of my guitar which is what i will be using, will it be ok to use?

Will it be wired like this?

That's how volume and tone pots should be wired.
You will need a seperate circuit for the LED, because it requires power.
Your switch is all wrong. You'll want to use a DPDT switch, which has 6 lugs.

It won't matter. The hot wire is still the hot wire, and the ground wire is still the ground wire.

OK i got some wiring for the tone and volume from an old guitar and used paint to draw it out and i liked the idea of being able to bypass it so i used this diagram for the by pass wiring and this is what i've come up with
