Hello all, I hope i posted in the right forum and that my question wasn't already answered.

I've now in my possession a Jackson DKMG Dinky with EMG 81/85 and I love the action on t. I was thinking about changing the picups to Seymour Duncan SH-8 "Invader" and Sh-10 "Full-Shred. I was wondering if it was a good idea and if it would give a better tone. I already tried a guitar with a Sh-8 pickups on it and really loved the sound. BTW, I mostly play metal and rock. Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

Here's the link to what I am talking about:

Yeh personally id go for the seymours as they are passiv and the EMG are active right??
anyway yeh i personally prefer passive and they are pretty damn high output anyway so they would be perfect for metal.

I'm a proponent of EMG's. The out put is a bit higher and if you can do an 18v mod on them the clarity is fantastic. But hey if you like the seymour's better it's really up to you.
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

Before judging the EMG set, do the 18v mod.

It'd be interesting to see a comparison of something like EMG's @18v vs. SD Blackouts @ 18v.

The guitar is all like 'look at me I am t3h bro0talz'

but the guy looks as though hes saying 'meh not quite bro0tal enough'

which is worrying
