Is there anyway I can get the Death Metal pedal to sound good on a Marshall? I can't get the tone I want.
*I know Marshall sucks for playing Death Metal*

Jesus Christ, do you know how many death metal people play Marshalls? Off the top of my head, Erik Rutan, Trey Azagthoth, the Suffocation guys and Cannibal Corpse in the early years.

The Digitech Death Metal Pedal is terrible too. What Marshall is it?

I'm guessing it's a Marshall MG. That's gonna sound like ****.

Whenever some person who has joined in the last couple of months call their amp a Marshall, it's probably an MG or on rarer occasions, an AVT.
The pedal sucks too.

The marshall brand isn't necessarily bad for death metal, but the MG is horrible.
To answer your question, no.

The Death Metal pedal doesn't sound that bad.

Set your amp neutral (bass and treble at noon) on the clean channel, then set the level at about 8 o'clock, the bass at 1 o'clock, the mids somewhere between noon and 4 (but not past 4 or it gets very buzzy) and the highs around 2 o'clock. Tweak to taste from there.

Why do I get the feeling that a lot of the people who joined this Forum in March 2008 are very young, have a Marshall MG and use ultra high gain distortion pedals. I also sense some impatience nowadays, as in not reading manuals and searching the net. This forum seems to be flooded with them.

To the TS, post your whole gear so we can help you more.
