im thinkin of gettin one of the above but not really sure which one to get.
the thing that i like about the uber metal is that it has a noise gate which would help me alot.
im not sure what features the dime distort has but i heard it was good too.
so maybe someone could help me out with a decision?
btw i play mainly metal

Is the uber metal digital or what?
I've never been sure about that.
I say neither, maybe try a metal muff?

yea ive heard bout the metal muff too. pretty good.
but ive chosen these two as i have people selling them for SGD100 (about USD150 maybe).
thats pretty hard to come by for these 2 pedals.
and bout the uber metal being digital, ive no idea myself

What's your current amp?
If it's tube, what I would really recommend is a tubescreamer boosting your amp's lead channel.
If not, I really don't have too much experience with metal disto boxes, but the metal muff I know of pretty well.

Get the metal muff. I like it because of it's eq and even though it's a metal distortion you can pull some nice overdriving sounds out of it.

well sadly its crap studio.
can anyone tell me what the advantages are for the mxr dime distort?

Honestly from what i heard it sucks pretty bad, most get the doubleshot if they go with MXR

why dont u just make a new thread with a poll saying uber metal or the dime distortion cause its easier to read....also try them at a music store cause if u buy one and dont like it u have to go all the way back to the music store again to change it. or u might not like either of them...

You really should try a metal muff. Neither of those pedals are any good imo. You dont have any real reason to rush into buying them just because some people are selling them now. You should find one you actually like and then find one on ebay or craigslist if you want it cheaper.

nah if i get it on ebay im gona have to pay shipping and **** which will make me pay more.
sadly i don't have much money and besides ive heard the uber metal and i like it.
ive just never heard the sound of the mxr dime
