I need to do something interactive with my Spanish class for a grade so I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a guitar piece originating from Mexico. It has to be pretty easy too, something I can learn in 3 days or less.

Strength of the world has a flamenco solo which is not Mexican....

Mariachi Loco or Pistolero, I'm not into that kind of music though.

Any suggestions? Preferably something acoustic because I'm going to have to play my acoustic for it.

P.S. The song has to originate from Mexico or a Mexican person, not just sound Mexican.

Some Santana stuff is easy, but to really impress, try "Corazon Espinado"
it's by Mana, featuring Santana.

edit: oh, acoustic, well then "En el Muelle de San Blas" by Mana.

"However," replied the universe,

Wouldn't you learn something from Spain instead of Mexico.

We had to pick a Spanish speaking country to do a report + interactive thing on so I picked Mexico.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'm going to look 'em up on Youtube and hopefully find something I like.

Search Rodrigo y Gabriela on youtube or google. If all else fails, just learn "La Cucaracha".

A definate pass coz if its kick assness!

This story is boring. Get to the part where you jump off a cliff.

OP - try anything by one of the great Spanish classical guitarists such as Tarrega. Try Tarrega's Etude in E Minor, it's real short, easy and cool.

Don't laugh

I was laughing at the thought of the TS playing Brujera songs on an acoustic guitar. What's wrong with that?
