I've been looking up American strats recently. Videos and actually going out and playing them. Is it just me or are the 07's and 08's REALLY thin and weak sounding.

They play 10x better than my Squier, but I personally think my custom pickups sound considerably better than the stock american. Is that just tonal preference, or are the American pups not that good?

did you try the guitars out on the same amp? And wat pickups are in the Squier, why not put them into the American Strat and you have great tone and feel.

I hate the American deluxe even more.

The pups in my squier were wound by one of my friends. I guess I could put them in an American if I got it. I just thought an American fender should be better.

and yeah, I used a Valveking and a Twin for all 3.
