I once used an SG on stage. I killed three people in the front row and I was only tuning up. It's THAT powerful.

ok im going to assume that since G3 was created by satriani, he has to be in it. Also Im assuming that all living guitarists are fair game...
with that said, heres what the show would look like in order..

Opening artist: Buckethead

1. Soothsayer
2. Big Sur Moon
3. Super Human

Michael Romeo ( Symphony X ) (not sure how these would work since Russel Allen vocal are unique to say the least, im assuming he tags along)

1. Edge of Forever
2. Eve of Seduction
3. Rediscovery (Segue)

Joe Satriani

1. I just wanna rock (because i know he'll want to do it with an actual crowd)
2. Souls of Distortion (I really want to see this played live)
3. Revelation (The end solo is the only thing epic enough to a concert of this magnitude)

G3 JAM

1. All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix version
2. Kashmir - Led Zeppelin Version
3. Random Uber Shred fest (Satch vs Buckethead shredding back and forth?........*faints*) This might not happen for the simple fact that we humans are not at all prepared for what might transpire.....

By the way Teh GIR, i believe petrucci, vai and satriani have already done a G3, why would you want to see it again? Im not saying that it wont be fantastic but still....

i quite like this idea, it would certainly be different, id pay to watch that, its not too unrealistic either

edit: id like to replace satch with ritchie blackmore though, im not really a fan of his stuff.

After hearing how bad they ****ed up their ZZ Top jam, I don't think a good G3 line up will ever happen or amount to much...

Better off with each artist doing their own thing...

Or two artists jamming with their own composition, not trying to 'improve' a classic!

Paul Gilbert... uhh... Paul Gilbert? If we can have some non-shredders, give me Joe Walsh and Tommy Shaw!
