I'm not keen on Boston gear, what kind of amps did they use?
For AC/DC, a plexi would work very well. But for Skillet, Ben uses Single Rectos I thought, and I don't think ceriatone has a clone of that.
If you want the marshall tone, i'd still look into the matchless and trainwrecks.
They're all british voiced, and tonally similar to marshalls, but more "boutiquey" sounding.

I don't want to spend more than 700 though for one..

But Boston used Plexis for 2 albums tell they switched to rockman gear.

and the reason i wanted the JCM was cause I could get a pretty good Plexiesqe sound and a good metal sound when needed. Maybe I should just get the plexi

I'd email Nik at Ceriatone about it.
I'm really not sure.
A plexi would probably be your best bet, but their TW clones and Matchless clones (if you've ever heard any of these, they're great amps) may be better, but it's a little bit of a gamble.
If you want that plexi tone, I think you'd have to go with a plexi though

I say combo version, but that'd cost quite a bit to ship.
Matchless are a famous boutique brand. Marshally sounding, but different. I think the tone may be a bit lighter but with more note clarity.
Trainwrecks are very expensive boutique amps which apparently have a reputation for having the best response to picking dynamics.

Listen to the clips on the site and judge for yourself. I liked the Trainwrecks better than the marshalls. But that's just me.

see thats why i was thinkin just get a JCM (i really do want a plexi BUT...) cause for 18w I'm actually paying more than I will for a real marshall......but I think I might just the the 36w or a JTM45 maybe
