Alright so I has a problem (sort of). I normally play my guitar in drop D and I use 10 gauge strings. The "problem" is that the low D string rattles a bit more than my liking. When I tune it to standard, the low E is tight and perfect, no rattle. The other string are the same aswell. So what might I do to optimize my drop D playing? Should I go up a gauge, say 11s? Would I need to adjust my truss rod or bridge (Gibson style) if so and how would I do that?

heavy bottoms skinny tops, then your truss rod will be fine and you can tune your low string lower and it wont flop
