I don't like the melody makers really, I think they feel like playing a 2x4.

they kick ass

i played one and compared it to a les paul junior and studio (both gibson) and the melody maker blew both of them away. go for it!

Its not worth it... You're better off just replacing the pick ups on your G-400... G-400's are way better than Melody makers.
