So I need to learn sweep picking better. I'm pretty much a beginner at it, and I can do the one in the beginning of Fade to Black. Does UG know of a song with a pretty basic sweep solo?

bleeding mascara by atreyu... thats how i started learning. both the intro and the solo have some pretty simple sweeps in them.

p.s, i didn't know there was a sweep at the beginning of fade to black.

Bleeding Mascara might be a bit hard if your jsut starting. I still just do it in alt picking ( i also do it in a weird position)
Every one i talk to started sweeping with the chorus to Beast and the Harlot.
None of those metalcore bands have overly complicated sweeps though so if you into that then just go crazy.

Kirk might not have sweeped it, but its a lot easier to play that way
