probably not.

just get some wood stain of similar color.

plus it would just turn brown. it wont stay a cool red color.

but of course mix some blood ftom your chosen victim with the woodstain

i'd go with a clear woodstain, and cut a vital vein so theres plenty of blood to lighten/ darken the shade as you see fit

I actually want to really try it.

just do it on a small piece of wood and see how it turns out.

If it would work it would be pretty metal. I think I want to do that now if possable. That idea is pure win. It would be so beautiful if it can be done.

Isn't there some of Vai's blood in the paint of some JEMs?

I think the Ibanez website said it's 'DNA samples' in the finish of the acrylic limited edition 20th anniversary JEM.

I can't be arsed to go and check though

Nope. I sliced a large portion out of my thumb and the blood got all over our (unfinished/stained at that point) hardwood floors...not to long later it turned **** brown

thats so emo/|3|200T41Z.

it would definitely work to stain it, its just whether it rotted or something like that. it'd probably clot, and then flake off. i'd say take blood thinners before you do it, but that might not end so well.

close, but he has a series of "DNA JEMs" which have his blood in the paint (swirl paint job).

If you wanted to get technical you'd have to consider what kind of wood it is, whether its open or closed grain and things like that. But in any case, blood is not going to make a good stain in the traditional sense of what a good stain is.

You could use blood to color the guitar of course but anybody that looked at it would just see a crappy staining job, you wouldn't be able to tell it was blood.

Yeah, there's some of his blood in the swirls inside the guitar. I've never heard any recordings of him playing it, I wonder what it sounds like?

That would be awesome. Except that too would eventually dry up I think.
