See if you can find a used krank mini rev head but I doubt it I have had no luck with that. Otherwise I recommend a used spider valve. Probably better than you think.

Valvekings are pretty versitile, and maybe a Palomino if you like the softer stuff.

do i need that much power just for a practice amp?
#12
try Ibanez valbee, theyre pretty new i've been wanting to try it out.

it's like an Epiphone Jr but with full setting knobs and stuff..

or if you have the money go for a 2nd hand Peavey classic 30 or maybe Mini Colossal?

i know alot of people are saying the valve king and dont get me wrong its a great amp but the randall rg50tc is alot more metal sounding and higher gain

I once owned a Valveking and I thought that the distortion sounded, dull, hollow, and very distant. I would definately not recommend one. I would, however, recommend a used B-52 AT-112. I almost bought one but I found an awesome deal on my Mesa so that's what I got instead.

I once used an SG on stage. I killed three people in the front row and I was only tuning up. It's THAT powerful.
