I'm going to buy my 2nd guitar, the Ibanez RG321EX (the version with EMG p-ups).
I don't know whether i should get a new amp with it or not. Right now I'm playing my Yamaha ERG-121 through a Hughes & Kettner Edition Blue 15-DFX.

My new amp needs to be a combo because I don't need/have space for a stack or half stack. I don't now whether the amp should be valve or transistor. It should be an amp which EMGs sound god through.

I play mostly rock and metal.

Please help me out here!

Amp >>> Guitar. Its honestly well worth it to spend 2-3x as much on an amp than on a guitar, and overall you'll be much happier with the sounds you can create. Get the amp first...!
