So my local music shop has two silver Ibanez EDA 900. They looked so weird that I had to play them. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to play them through an amp, but they felt very solid unplugged. I was surprised to find they were only $350USD. I don't know anything about them and apparently Ibanez doesn't make them anymore. Does anybody have any information on them?

It looks like it has
-3 band EQ+Volume knob
-5 bolt neck
-24 frets (seemed very small)
-the headstock was tiny, it was smaller than my fist.
-the body was extremely rounded on the back
-4 piece bridge
-through body strings
-piezo pups

They're not made out of wood, and the 5 string version has a neck thinner than a stretched piece of chewing gum. I thought it was alright.

Interesting. they were very weird, but they seemed to have some weight to them. I really wish I had plugged them in.

OMG! they are amazing!

Is that from personal experience or just from the pics posted?
I'm not actually thinki9ng about buying one, I just fell in love with the looks and the feel. (I really need a new amp)

EDIT:
found a review of the 5er:http://ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/bass_guitars/ibanez/eda905/index.html

It really makes me wonder. If it's possible to make quality basses for less money by using a synthetic material instead of wood, why don't we see such basses more often?
