Hi,

I have to buy an Amp to go with a Epiphone DOT. What would be the best one?

Thanks in advance

What do you play (i presume jazz, bluesy kinda stuff)?
How much do you have to spend?
What country are you in?

I have a vox valvetronix and it my dot sounds great through it.
It probably does but if TS has loads of $$$ then a Valvetronix probably isn't the best option

Since I'm not yet familiar with all this, could you add details in your suggestions please?

Sorry! First I live in Canada, province of Quebec. Second, the budget would be something from 350$ to 500$ More or less. Assuming with that amount I can't get something cool enought to play in my basement or with few friends on a stage somewhere...

And what is the main difference between British and American tone? The Guy from the store where I bought the DOT recommended the Peavey Classic 30.

Thanks

British amps have darker cleans and has a "crunchy" overdrive.
American amps have bright cleans and smooth overdrive.

My Dot sounds great through my Valve Junior.
