Finally! I like it so far, though I really don't get the desired sound I want,
so I was wondering if someone got some nice settings for Metallica stuff.

Guitar is a GRX40 and I got a ZoomG2 aswell.
I'm gonna buy a Metal Muff when I got some money and play through the clean channel but for now I want a nice distortion just outta the amp.

Help would be appreciated.

How does the zoom sound with the VK ?

My metal settings on the zoom are

Comp: 7 FS 80
ZNR - GT: 8
Drive - ED: 48 9 82
EQ: 2 6 10

If you have any spare time could you please try those settings on the VK for me as I am thinking of buying one and would like to know if I can use my MFX or if I would need to buy seperate pedals.

**** I have wrote hella long message two times now and both times it froze somehow...

Anyways, I made a patch with the Zoom, and now the amp really sounds killer! It sounds exactly like I want it to. Really trash metal!

Believe me, you don't need to swap speakers/tubes as everyone here says, it sounds fantastic stock. I may make a clip later where I demonstrate it

How about trying the amp without a Digital Multifx pedal?
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

Yeah then I don't get the sound I want - not much for metal without pedals. Clean are amazing though, love it.
